Local Control – Global Reach.
Have you ever called your accountant needing a question answered just to find the person you’re speaking with doesn’t have either the experience or the authority to give you the answer you need? Pretty frustrating, right?
At ACM, we strive to answer questions promptly, and it is easier to do so because people with the experience and authority you need are located right here in Denver. There is no need to consult with a headquarters office in some far way city because our local management team runs the business. Our partners play a hands on role in engagements. They also empower the managers and staff to make decisions appropriate to their level. Maintaining control in the local office means our team members will be available and responsive.
Bank of Commerce was started on July 2, 1984, by a group led by John W. France and Dr. Archie Kirsch, who purchased the assets of Wyoming Bank of Rawlins. In a newspaper advertisement that day, the group told the community that Bank of Commerce is locally owned and is “Rawlins’ Only Home-Owned Bank.”
Bank of Commerce retains that local ownership status today, and is still “Carbon County’s Only-Home Owned Bank”. Bank of Commerce has six directors, all of which are local people.
Bank of Commerce has very experienced employees, a wonderful spirit, and a family atmosphere, which is why Bank of Commerce experiences very little turnover in their employees.

Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union was originally known as Wyoming Employees Federal Credit Union. The Credit Union was founded in January of 1954 by a dedicated group of state employees wishing to establish a not-for-profit, financial cooperative that would be built on the philosophy of people helping people.
After its chartering, a small office opened in March 1954 in the State Board of Charities and Reform. In 1955 the Credit Union was moved to a basement storage room in the Wyoming State Capitol Building where volunteers took deposits for their fellow state employees.
The Credit Union hired its first employee in 1958. After spending a year working out of a garage facility behind the Wyoming Travel Commission, the current property at 2223 Warren Avenue was purchased in 1977.
Meridian Trust’s branches began opening across the state of Wyoming throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and the fifth location opened in February of 2004 in East Cheyenne.
Kim Withers, Meridian Trust’s President and Chief Executive Officer since 1994, looks to an encouraging future for members and employees of the Credit Union. “We have always embraced the idea of service for our members and continuing our success as a financial cooperative.
